Sizing Flexi Clips

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips come in seven different sizes. That’s so there is one for everyone!

BUT – almost everyone thinks they are a bigger size than they really are.

If a flexi clip is too big it’s just going to slide out of your hair and you are going to be sure that it’s a piece of junk.

I (and Lilla Rose because they are a super company) do NOT want you to unhappily throw your flexi in the drawer unworn. That would be so sad! Lilla Rose give you 90 days to figure out if you have the right size and exchange it for free!

For U.S. Retail Orders, exchanges for the same design in a different size, or same size if defective shop free both ways within 90 days from your original order date.  Lilla Rose guarantees its products free from defect for 1 year from your original order date.

So let’s seriously talk about sizing.

Where to start sizing

When we start to size flexi clips we start by determining the ponytail size. This is the size that will hold a ponytail in your hair – all day – without sliding out OR pulling and pinching. So start by making a ponytail and wrap your index finger and thumb around the base. Carefully slide them out the length of your hair and look at the size of the circle in your fingers made by your ponytail.

Different sizes for Different Styles

There are three main hairstyles you can do with a flexi clip.

• A pony tail with your ponytail size clip
• A half up with the size smaller than your ponytail size clip
• All-the-way up with the size bigger than your ponytail size

What size should you get?

For a Ponytail

Since you can always put some hair up, even with a too small clip, I would suggest getting the size smaller than what you think your ponytail size is. That way if you are thinking like 90% of people that you are a bigger size than you are, you will still be able to do a ponytail. If you are in the 10% that gets the size right, you can still do a half up.

For an All-the-way Up

If you are aiming to use your first flexi for an updo, get the size you think your ponytail is. That way, if you are like 90% of people it will work for an updo! If you are in the 10% that gets the size right, you can still do a ponytail.

For a Half Up

If you are aiming to use your first flexi for a half-up, get the size two sizes smaller than what you think your ponytail size is. You can always put a little less hair in your half up if it is too small.

For Someone Else

You can stalk their hair, but

• XS and S are the most popular sizes of flexi clip
• XXS (mini) fits everyone! It all depends on how much hair you want to put in the clip. I wear a mini to hold just a little bit back on the side, a child might be able to do a half up or even a ponytail with a XXS.
