Easy Wedding Updos for Long Hair

Easy Updos for Long Hair – Wedding Special

Are you thinking of doing your own hair for your wedding to keep things simple? Or perhaps you just want something simple so you don’t spend all morning at the hair dresser. These easy updos for long hair are simple enough for even me to do – I use many of them every week. They are classic styles that you can practice and test in the months before your wedding with everyday style accessories, and saving the special accessories for your big day. If you buy your accessories from Lilla Rose you can be assured that the crystal and pearl hair clip you wear on your big day will fit exactly the same as the sunflower hair clip you used all spring to test out your styles.

Classic Bun Easy Wedding Updo for Long Hair

Buns are the easiest all the way up style. Just make your hair into a ponytail (no hair tie needed) and then twist it into a rope until it winds into a bun on top of your head. If you’ve never made a bun before, check out the video below:

Buns can be secured with simple sticks, like in the video, or hair pins. I have some example of the types of beautiful bridal styles of sticks and hair pins here. You can make a bun high on your head, or down near the nape of your neck. All the styles below are just buns.

French Twist Easy Wedding Updo for Long Hair

A french twist can be a bit daunting the first few times you try it. The trick is to roll with what you create when you are first starting out. Not every french twist has to be sleek perfection. Even twists that don’t quite work they way you intended can be beautiful updos.

Here’s a quick video of the basics of making a twist:

Although you can secure twists with hairpins and hair sticks, I find Lilla Rose hair clips to be the easiest way to finish off a twist. If you get some hair clips to pratice with before your wedding, by the time your wedding comes around you will have no trouble with this style. Lilla Rose hair clips come in seven different sizes for all kinds of hair. Most importantly, if you have a panda clip in size medium that you successfully use every day, the special wedding clip you bought in size medium will work exactly the same on your big day.

Here are some twists with Lilla Rose hair clips:
